• Virtual Backgrounds

A virtual background is a simulated environment that appears behind a participant in a video conference. This provides a cleaner background that is aligned to our corporate branding, especially when working from home.

The Virtual Background feature is now available within the Bank's Microsoft Teams and Zoom application.

Please note: Currently, users who are using a Lean laptop will not be able to change backgrounds or blur the background in Microsoft Teams meeting. However, this functionality will be available in future.

To use virtual backgrounds in Zoom, you must be using the latest Zoom Client (v5.3).

Application

Please download the images on the right to your computer.

To change your background

  1. While you're setting up your video and audio before joining a meeting, select Background filters. It's just below the video image. Your background options will display on the right.
  2. Select Blur to blur your background. You'll appear nice and clear while everything behind you is subtly concealed.
  3. You can also replace your background with one of the images provided, or with one of your own choosing. If using your own image, please ensure that it is conducive to the bank's professional working environment. Go to 'Add new' and then select one to upload from your computer. Make sure it's a .JPG, .PNG, or .BMP file.

Your new background will persist in all your meetings and calls until you change it again.
